- Yah, that's true for the one method of playing 14 bit sound. But
- with that method, you're left with just two channels, so mixing will
- more often be necessary.
- I agree that the playing part doesn't necessarily mean loosing DMA
- mode, but the whole thing still needs quite some more CPU time.

- You don't NEED to make them 8 channel, 16 bit; small MODs are still
- possible. But personally I do think that better quality is worth
- that extra space (perhaps people will make converters to convert
- those MODs to lower quality/less space taking.. ;-). Also, I DO
- assume that games will appear more and more on CD, or ZIP or what-
- ever! Space enough (for now). Do remember that MODs are invented
- for games and demos. If you want to make small demos, then make an
- 4 channel, 8 bit MOD. THat will still play on a newer, better chip.
